Norman F. Marrazzo, Sr. Obituary

Norman F. Marrazzo, Sr., 88, of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 30, 2022, at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of Morrisville, Norman was the youngest of seven children and a graduate of Morrisville High School.

At age 14, he began his successful career as a business owner when he co-founded Center Fruit Market in Trenton, NJ with his three older brothers. He later became the sole proprietor of the corner market as his brothers embarked on their own business ventures. Always aspiring to grow his business, he realized his dream in 1969 by opening the Fruit Gourmet Center in Morrisville, the “first delicatessen of its kind” in the region. The establishment was an immediate success and in two years doubled in size. Nine years later, he bought the shopping center where his store is located. Norman was honored to be named the founding director of the Bank of Delaware Valley in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, and was an active member of the Italian American Social Club for many years. His keen business acumen and strong work ethic afforded him an early retirement and he was able to enjoy the fruits of his labor, spending summers at his Wildwood Crest, NJ vacation home with his growing family, and many outings. golf and trips to the Super Bowl with his brothers. and group of friends for life.

Son of the late Giuseppe and Anna Marrazzo, he was predeceased by siblings, Don Marrazzo, Rose Silvi, Susan Diretto, Joseph Marrazzo and Dan Marrazzo. Norman is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lou (Edwards), two sons and daughters-in-law, Norman Jr. and Yvonne Marrazzo of Yardley, Glenn and Mary Chris Marrazzo of Langhorne, and a daughter and son-in-law, Karin and Alessandro Compagnone of Langhorne; sister and brother-in-law, Ginger and Frank Cracker, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Mary Jane Edwards. He was the loving grandfather of seven children – Hally Ammons, Heather Curtis, Brittany Ferraro, Lianna Ford, Patrick Marrazzo, Mariangela Compagnone and Angelo Compagnone, and the great-grandfather of nine children – Alex, Jonathan, Charlotte, Emma, ​​Audrey, Grace, Nora. , Henry and Dexter, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Family and friends are invited to the celebration of Norman’s life on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Full Gospel Church, 676 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills, PA 19030, followed immediately by his service at 10:30 a.m.

Burial at Morrisville Cemetery.
